Festa della BEFANA

The beautiful and ancient venetian tradition is renewed even today in Malcontenta.At 5 p.m., in the sports field behind the Parish Church, in Malcontenta - Venice: 'ARRIVAL OF THE THREE WISE MEN and TRIAL OF THE OLD WOMAN BEFANA'. The traditional DESSERT of these days is the 'Pinza': white flour, yellow flour, yeast, sugar and milk, with the addition of pine nuts, dried figs, raisins, fennel seeds and grappa. The typical DRINK that accompanies this dessert is the 'Mulled wine'. The children woke up this morning, finding the 'STOCKING of the Befana' hanging from the fireplace or under the Christmas Tree.
